Hey guys, and gals, or whatever y’all identify as these days, this week I wanted to take a moment, or I guess a blog post to highlight some of my creative friend’s quarantine projects they have slowly been coming in so I am sure i'll be doing another segment in the upcoming future, but yea so here we go! With all the insaneness and crazy that's going on in the world I thought there is a ton of artist’s content that is getting swept under the radar. So let's  go!

Ash Catcher
Lexi Spino, Artist, Poet, Over all Badass

Fairy Tales

Sometimes we have expectations
That will never get met

Acceptance is a bitch
Denial one of her best friends
And alongside them
Watching from another realm
Is the mother of fairy tales
Sometimes she crosses
and sprinkles a bit of that
golden daze into days
flowing into nights

But sometimes she
just waits to make sure
the others know where
the line is

and that line is also a bitch
who sits in your head eating
away at the back of it
putting in the darkness
that consumes the acceptance

Until it just turns into denial
of the wants and needs
and leaves the reality of it all

Charred feathers
How do you move on from trauma
when half of your trauma
is attached to you for life.
How do you accept the bad and leave it
when there was something so beautiful
created from i

There's a special bond regardless
when kids are involved and that can never
be ripped or cut away.

But the toxicity. The abuse.
The anger. The depression.
The manipulation.
Still remains there as well.
The regrets. The pain.
The hatred. The sorrow.
The resentment.
The forgiveness.
The battle
can never be severed.

How does one heal,
when it is constantly coming back around?
How does anyone love
ever again…
or be loved
ever again…

When it isn't just baggage
but a whole airplane
constantly in flames
yet still in flight.

Artimes Prime, Philly Musician.
Artimës Prime is a Hip Hop artist from the Philadelphia area. At 29 years of age, he has become a staple in Philadelphia’s underground music scene. Opening up for the likes of Michael Wavves, Beanie Sigel, Wiz Khalifa, and Snoop Dog; Prime brings a unique blend of power and consciousness into his music. His powerful tone mixed with his deep lyrics take the listener on a journey unlike any other. Known as the Boom Bap King, Artimës Prime likes to use 90s and early 00’s influences for his music, and with him performing at events like SXSW, it doesn’t look like he will slow down anytime soon. He is definitely about the pure craft of Hip Hop.

Lea Herpich- Poet. Thank you to this awesome submission Lea! I am all about your style and writing. I am sure you are all about cottage core like I am!

Really bad poetry

How did I get here?
How do I get back
I’m walking on paths I’ve never seen
I don’t know where I am but I have no
fear
The sun, the voice of comfort drying my tears
I am where there used to be a swing
Hung by a tree
You are always with me,
when you greet me again in the shape of the wind
You are all always with me
when I want to close my eyes,
because I fear my heart will break

-Lea, 21.04.2020
Poem for Jessie
So far but yet so close
No matter when
No matter where
Your kindness shines so bright I can see it from here
You are always there
No matter when
No matter where
So far but yet so close

-Lea, 03.05.2020
Scraps of the “Collective Poem”

“The sky a pale blue
  the flowers bloom for you
Rusty soul and rusty bones that keep stumbling
  on stone”

“We are spread across the world, but connected
by the golden lace ribbon of magic, friendship
  and love”

(Inspired by Florence Welch´s “Collective Poem” Project, written by Ariel, Agathe, Beth, Belle, Danielle, Emma, Lea, Margaret, Tessa, Jessie, Natalie and Steffi aka “The SAXY WITCHES” at one point during quarantine)

Vince, is a multifaceted individual for sure, with being the face of several small indie, and various metal music projects, its easy to say that this guy has some pure talent. Recently choosing to focus on art, Vince’s style can be described as modern impressionism. With inspiration driving from Henri Mattissue, his large scale colorful pieces are sure to catch the eyes of future up and coming artists in the Bucks County, Philly art scene. It’s a nice break from the over saturation of watercolor artists there are, that is for sure!
